Tis the season to be jolly!
And that's exactly the emotion communicated by all 27 Dayton Chapter
members who turned out for our annual holiday party. The Fireside
Room at the Officers Club was festively decorated, and Ron Siders again
adorned his cranium with his "naughty" Santa hat. The
menu selections of tossed salad, chicken breast or pork loin, dressing,
mixed vegetables, ice cream dessert, and white zin were at
their tonsil-titillating best. The gang included Mike and Mary
Beth Anthony, Joe and Marvia Bradley, Debbie Downes, Vic Folwarczny,
Randy and Ann Gallas, Bob and Janie Gehman, John Glaser, Ken Hershberger,
Bob and Edie Kreider, Sonia Leach, Lou and Marguerite Sharp, Ron and Rae
Siders, Carolyn
Spiller, Sam and Kandi Tahmoush, Don and Anna Marie Tandy, Sandy
Wallace, and Jim and Sally Valeri.

Marvia and Joe Bradley, Ken

another bottle in Ken's left hand?

Yes, the traditional search for
"dog images" ingrained in the Fireside Room's overhead timbers
is still alive and well. Diligent searchers Deb Downes, Edie
Kreider, Rae Siders, Ron Siders, and Ann Galas claim to have found four
of them. But some folks are beginning to question just how
authentic these "images" really are. Only Edie Kreider
really knows for sure.

Joe Bradley, Jim Valeri, and
Sally Valeri seem to be quite at ease after dinner. Maybe it's
because the wine karafes
have been well drained.

Looks like John Glaser is having
a serious discussion with Debbie Downes. Could they be conferring
about the business meeting scheduled to follow dinner? Nah!!

Never one to miss a photo op,
John mugs for the camera between Lou and Marguerite Sharp.
Although Marguerite's jolliness is quite evident, Lou seems only mildly
amused.

Here we get a better glimpse of
Ron Siders and his provocative Santa hat. Ron can control the peak
of this extraordinary hat and make it stand erect and move from side to
side (we are not making this up). And we must ask: Have you
ever seen a more Cheshire cat type grin than that on Ron's face?
Rae Siders looks on approvingly.

What the name of Nittany is going
on with this zany group? We can see Bob Kreider's foot on the
table (far right); Randy Gallas in his stocking feet with his pants leg
pulled up (center); and Vic Folwarczny about to bare one of his own
pedal extremeties. The word on the street is that these guys (and
a few others in the room) agreed to get pedicures and toe decorations
spelling out P-E-N-N (and then a lion paw print) on the right foot and
S-T-A-T-E on the left foot. Wow! Talk about Penn State
spirit!! Or was it an overabundance of wine?
