Over 60 enthusiastic Penn Staters crowded the Burgundy Room at the Fox and Hound to watch our beloved Nittany Lions systematically dismantle FIU's offense and defense in a 59 - 0 route.  The Golden Panthers may not represent the crème de la crème of football competition, so it may be unrealistic to consider this victory a true test of the Lions' prowess. Nevertheless it was gratifying to see our team so completely dominate the competition.  The pictures below are glimpses our chapter members and friends enjoying the rout.

Meet Chelsea Perkins (Class of '09), one of the newest members of the Fox and Hound staff.  Chelsea is majoring in art history at Penn State, but is taking a year off before returning for her senior year.  Although aided from time to time by other staff members, Chelsea did a fantastic job in taking orders and serving food and beverages to the assembled Penn State throng.

Here's a montage — a cross-section if you will — of our enthusiastic crowd.  Although the outcome of the game was never in doubt, our spirits remained high throughout.
    .

And here's our designated push-up specialist, eight-year old Nick Hamilton.  With a spirit to match his endurance, Nick performed a seemingly endless number of pushups with aplomb.
    .

As seen here, Nick not only enjoyed doing the pushups but also did a great job in leading our "We are . . . Penn State" cheer.
     .

And here he is — up close and personal.  Note the "Future Lion" designation on Nick's name tag.

No football TV party would be complete without at least a short "business meeting."  Sonia Leach, our highly capable chapter prez, brings chapter members and friends up-to-date at halftime.
     .

All eyes are on the big screen as these Penn State partisans savor their beverages as well as the Nittany Lions's performance.
     .

As if there was any doubt as to who we're rooting for, Janie Gehman emphasizes the Nittany Lion emblazoned on her T-shirt.  Table partners Ron and Rae Siders look on.
               .  .

Here's a somewhat less populated portion of the Burgundy Room, with the eyes of the PSU faithful focused on the screen.
  .

And finally, a view from the front of the Burgundy Room.  Runaway game or not, notice the intense interest on the faces of everyone.
Remember, next week Penn State goes against Notre Dame.  See you here at the Fox and Hound at 6:00 pm for the kickoff.
