Think TV Channel 16's "Great TV
Auction" Tuesday, April 16,
2002

It was deja vu all over again as chapter members
pitched in to support Channel 16's Great TV Auction. As our chief
honcho for mustering up our people resources, kudos go to Mark Dowd for
his superb organizing and coordinating skills. Since I, your
faithful webmaster, was sequestered in the "Confirmation Room"
I'm not 100% sure of who among our number
actually turned out for the event. But I saw (and got pictures of)
Prez Randy Gallas, Prez-to-be Vic Folwarczny, Marguerite Sharp, Bob
Kreider, Carolyn Spiller, and, of course, Honcho Mark.

Yes, it's our gang "on camera." Note how
they've cleverly attached balloons to their
heads — easier for the TV cameras to find them.
Irrepressible Mark turns his head
toward the (digital) camera too.

Another view of our crew! It's
painfully obvious that Carolyn and Mark are really working hard. Can the same be said for the
others? Hmmm . . .

Carolyn is s-o-o-o-o intent on her
Confirmation Room work . . . and another satisfied high bidder is
at the other end of the
telephone line.

Another scene from the Confirmation
Room. The bid packages keep rolling in, but Carolyn and Mark process them quickly and accurately.

Bob Gehman proudly points to his
title as "Firehouse Specialist," which means he gets to process the bids resulting from
the auction's Firehouse Specials.

Here's Cindy Raymond, who worked
side-by-side with Bob all evening long. Although not a Penn Stater, Cindy and Bob
discovered they shared many interests.

Mark and Marie confer during the
closing minutes of the auction. Marie was in charge of the Confirmation Room,
and skillfully accomplished the
training and quality control tasks.
