Ever wonder how the ice cream is made
at the Penn State Creamery? Well, here is your chance. Tom
Palchak, the Creamery manager is coming to town on April 30th. He
will be the featured speaker at our annual banquet. Along with great
food and good ole PSU fellowship this is an evening you want to plan on
attending. Who knows there may even be some Creamery ice cream
available? Look for the enclosed form to mail back to Edie with your
reservation. Plan now to attend the Chapter's Banquet on April 30th
at the NCR Country Club.

We still have several vacancies on the board that I
would love to fill. If you can make just 4 meetings a year you are a
candidate for the spot. We need help with ideas to make our chapter
a great organization for fun and fellowship. You can see all the
members in living color on our web page. (http://www.psualumnidayton.org)
I would like to encourage more of you to become
life-time members of the alumni association. Instructions are on our
web page. We will give you a free 1 year local membership if you
sign up for a life-time when using our code (AIQ).

PENN STATE CREAMERY
|
The Creamery is one of the most well loved sites on
campus. Approximately 500,000 ice cream cones are sold here each
year. Cheese, butter, and other dairy products are also sold at the
Creamery. These dairy products are produced in Borland Lab, located
directly behind the Creamery and are used throughout the campus at the
dining commons, the Nittany Lion Inn, and the Hetzel Union Building.
Ben and Jerry actually took a correspondence course through Penn State to
learn about ice cream production.

ALUMNI ASSOCIATION LIFE MEMBERSHIP
|
One of our chapter goals is to increase the number
of life members in the Penn State Alumni Association. Alumni,
students, family, and friends are welcome to join. Why not make a
lifetime commitment to support Penn State as a new member — or
renewing member — on a lifetime basis? Individual and joint
memberships are available, and special rates apply to recent Penn State
grads and people age 60 and over. Go to the Alumni Association's Member
Center page for more information about the many benefits of membership
and/or to begin the application process. When you apply for life
membership on-line, remember to use "AIQ" as your 3-digit Penn
State Group ID Code.
