NITTANY NOTES — SEPTEMBER 2004

PRESIDENT'S NOTE

As I wrote in the July newsletter I said we were going to have a banner year.  Well the first proof of that was that we got word that our chapter is the winner of not one but two prestigious awards.  Bob Gehman was selected to receive the Diversity Award and our Web page is also being recognized.  Both awards will be presented at the Alumni Awards Banquet at University Park on November 5.
We still have 3 vacancies on our Board Members for those of you that want to become more active in our programs.  You can see all the members in living color on our web page.

BILL ASHBAUGH

The latest word on Bill (Sep 14, 2004) is that he's not doing well.  He is still losing weight and cannot take solid food.  He recently had another operation, and so far seems to be doing okay.  Recovery will take awhile, and he will be unable to go with us on the bus trip this year.  Keep him in your prayers.
