Every once in a while Dayton
Chapter members are privileged with a visit by the Nittany Lion
Mascot. No one knows exactly when the Lion will appear (well, almost
no one knows), but his visits are always occasioned by cheers, smiles,
high-fives, and one-armed pushups. The Lion usually chooses to
appear during one of our TV Football Parties at the Fox and Hound, and
this year it was during the PSU - Temple game on November 10th.

Here's a glimpse of the
unsuspecting crowd, totally unaware of the whirlwind madcap feline frolics
about to unfold.

The Lion appears — and
pandemonium ensues! Look at the grins on the ladies' faces.
You can almost hear the squeals of delight as the Lion sashays from one
adoring fan to another.

Is this a great photo or
what? Look at the happy faces on (from left to right) Diane Hannah
(John's mom), Trish Hannah, the Nittany Lion himself (what a toothy
"grin"), and John Hannah. We owe a debt of gratitude to
John and Trish for these digital pictures, and for making them available
for downloading. Thanks, guys!

Leesa and Dave Galloway discovered
us last year but since that time have become regulars at our TV Football
parties. They seem quite composed as they bask in the presence of the
Lion.

Here's the Lion's pride — wife
Jenny and son Brady. Upon closer examination, though, we're not sure
little Brady recognizes it's Daddy underneath that lion skin.

Chapter presidents need Lion
affection too, so our favorite feline delivers a hug on a smilingly
appreciative Sonia Leach.

He's still got it! Here we
see the Lion (aka Mike Zollars) doing the traditional one-arm
pushups. Inasmuch as Penn State beat up on Temple by a score of 31 -
0, Mike got plenty of exercise during his abbreviated visit to the Fox and
Hound.
