The day dawned bright and clear tailor-made for mustering up one's energy and channeling it into several hours of labor. As the sun rose in the sky to the "9 o'clock" position, five chapter members rendezvoused at the Hills and Dales Park, in Oakwood, to help clear several acres of scrub and brush. |

Under the direction of Service Project Leader Marguerite Sharp, Bill Ashbaugh, Mark Dowd, Bob Gehman, and Kris Singer donned their "Penn State is No.1 in Service , too" t-shirts, grabbed handsaws furnished by Metro-Parks, and headed into the woods. Three hours and many ounces of sweat later they emerged, triumphant in the knowledge of a job well done. |
