The annual Blue & White Banquet found us enjoying each other's company at the Hope Conference Center. And with an agenda that featured Club Prez Mark Dowd doing the welcome and introductions, stirring group renditions of the Alma Mater, Fight on State!, and Hail to the Lion!, a tonsil-titillating menu of honey glazed pork chops or sliced sirloin of beef, and guest speaker Tina Hay, Editor of the Penn Stater Magazine, who could want for anything more? Before joining the Penn Stater in 1996, Tina spent 13 years as external relations coordinator for Penn State's College of Health and Human Development. In that role she edited a newsletter for the college's 40,000 alumni, helped create the college's web site, and developed a four color research magazine, Health & Human Development Research, which earned four national awards.Tina also hosts a folk music program on Penn State's public radio station, WPSU; books a folk concert series in State College; and is in her 14th season as the public address announcer for PSU's women's basketball games. To learn more about Tina, click here. |
