Yes, the Dayton Chapter is on the job again to help ThinkTV Channels 16/14 sign-up membership pledges. Smiling Bob Kreider (left front) is obviously pleased with himself, having just completed yet another successful membership renewal. Wife Edie, to his left, takes equal pride in her unparalleled ability to quickly jot down essential new member data before she forgets what was said. And to Edie's left, Chapter Prez Vic Folvarczny exudes an almost dismissive air of quiet confidence as he awaits the next caller. We're not exactly sure what Mark Dowd (background left) is doing to be productive as he stands like a sentinel over the operation. And Debbie Downes (background right) seems very relaxed and confident as she faces the daunting responsibilities of membership pledge "telephonemanship." |

Big Honcho Dave Romanko takes a bow in acknowledging his preeminent role in masterminding our support of ThinkTV. Dave did all the coordinating with the ThinkTV staff and recruited just the right number of Chapter volunteers. As you can plainly see, Vic is now talking to "the next caller." John Glaser's effervescent smile (background) is readily apparent as he coddles our Penn State bear. |

We couldn't resist showing this picture of Big Honcho Dave and Little Honcho Bear, lined up as they are to take on all callers and turn in 100% accurate membership data. |

Here-e-e-e-e-e-s Debbie again! Looking poised and pert, Debbie Downes is a relative newcomer to chapter activities. She acquitted herself admirably in responding to the pressure of constant calls. |

Big Honcho Dave, at his prescient best, found himself looking ahead to the ThinkTV Auction in April 2004. Everyone knows what a wild and hectic time that can be, and Dave decided a little "paws on" training for an extra helper might prove beneficial down the road. Here we see him coaching Penn State bear on your basic phone-holding technique. |

"Bear's Eye View" from in front of the camera — a lucky photo capturing this rare studio appearance of Penn State Bear's identical twin brother. |

Kay High (ThinkTV on-air personality) and Kristine Marguerite (studio floor manager) tabulate the record high number of new member/renewing member calls that evening. Word on the street was that the scintillating personalities of our chapter volunteers made all the difference. On a serious note, working to support ThinkTV's Membership Drive and its annual TV Auction is always a rewarding experience. The staff goes all out to provide comprehensive training and are helpful to a fault. We would also note that our Penn State - Dayton Chapter was acknowledged for its Membership Drive support in TV 16/14's February 2004 Spectrum Program Guide. |
