TV-16 Auction

May 18, 2000

Those of you who've helped out before with TV16 fundraisers often prayed  for your phone to ring.  Sometimes the inactivity was such we had to chat with each other to pass the time.  Probably similar circumstances at the recent TV-16 Auction, right?

Wrong!!!

"May I take your bid?"

We had to ask that question countless times.  The phones rang off the hook that night, but there were Penn Staters on hand to handle the calls.  The photos below will give you glimpses of all the fun.

Penn Staters were not the only volunteers who helped make the auction a success. Note white-shirted Randy Gallas in top row.

Yes, it's a fast-paced Fire Sale special event!  Hmmm.  Might that possibly be Prez Mark Dowd cleverly disguised as a yellow-suited fireman?

Kris Singer and Bill Ashbaugh take a welcome break, and scarf down White Castle sliders and other assorted bill-of-fare.

In contrast to the jovial bid-ticket taker on the right, Bill Ashbaugh and Randy Gallas seem to be taking this whole thing much too seriously.

Bob Gehman feigns writing up a bid for the camera; Kris Singer points to a Big Board item he's going to bid on; and, Krista's attention turns elsewhere.
